- Next board meeting is January 17th 2023 at 5pm local time, ahead of the VE session on that day
- SPARC fest
- Charles will do a sams club run and Provide coke, diet coke, sprite, snack foods, donuts, paper towels
- Charles will take soda cooler and get ice
- John will bring generators
- Rick will bring microwaves
- Dave will brew coffee and bring cups etc
- Pat will organize getting sale materials
- Next year SPARC fest will be November 11, 2023
- Team arrival will be 6am
- Bob KC4SXO will run the talkin
- Chairs for DMI will be ordered post meeting, expenditure approved for $260 to purchase a dozen chairs
- Pat will handle treasures report, work to get bank access due to 2FA, and coordination to get the checkbook
- Sparc-club.org will be renewed 10 years
- Pat has the main website password from NY41 and now Zach KM4FXP will be cleaning it up and refining
- Pat has been working on the history of amateur radio in St. Pete. Dee N4GD has additional materials. Pat has found QSL cards going back to the 1930s. There is reference to SPARC-fest from ~1934!
- Pat will get QRZ.com credentials from N2ESP Bob so we can begin to upload club activities to QRZ
- Pat will investigate getting club QSO activities in an interesting way on the website
- SPARC in the park, scheduled for December Sunday the 4th
- Post VE session club operating on November VE session
- SPARC will operate in the winter field day event January 28/29, 2023
- Computers for the shack. Pat recommends the dell opti-plex units he proposes Dell Optiplex 7 series for ~$350. the board approves the expenditure to purchase 4 units.
- Richard AA2MF requests to form a committee to manage the redesign of the station, as he has several folks who have expressed an interest. We will have an open assembly call at the next meeting
- Richard AA2MF will handle calling electricians to get quotes for the station relocation
