MINUTES OF SPARC MEETING – SEPTEMBER 4, 2015
7:30p.m. The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance and introductions were made. A moment of silence for Chuck Dean, W4NHQ, SK. Tom – AI4QP, read the Treasurer’s Report, accepted by the membership. Johnny – W4TSP read the Net Manager’s Report, Brad – KM4LTG will be the Sunday night Net Controller. Dave – KR4U read the Club Trustee Report, there was a station clean up and the donated Heathkit radio that belonged to King Hussein of Jordan, call sign – JY1, will be installed in the club shack for usage. The club newsletter needs content from the membership. Ron – KP2N, read the Repeater Report and the repeaters are running fine. Tom – AI4QP, read the Membership Report, four new members to the club, Stephan – KM4LTF, Ronald – N4KPJ, Thomas – WA6NJV and Don – KB4BOQ. The VE Report was read by Dave – KR4U, latest test session produced on new General and a Technician to General. The Secretary’s Report for last month’s club meeting is on the club webs site. All reports were accepted by the membership.
Old Business – Vice President Clayton – KJ4RUS, informed membership that the tower project is going well and the site plans need to be signed by an engineer and submitted to the county. Tom – NY4I informed the membership about contacting their Representatives about the Reasonable Antenna Accommodations bill.
New Business – SPARC Fest will be held November 14th and the club will need volunteers for the grill, food and testing. The St. Petersburg Science Festival for this year’s fee has been paid and will be held next to the old Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. The club needs volunteers for this year’s Officer’s Nominating Committee. Break was called at 7:50p.m.
8:10p.m. meeting called to order, the program on radio testing was on test equipment which was presented by Ron – KP2N and Dee – N4GD. Meeting ended at 8:49p.m
