MINUTES OF SPARC MEETING – JUNE 3, 2016
7:30pm meeting called to order. Pledge of Allegiance as well as introductions and acknowledgement of guests were done. Secretary’s Minutes for May’s SPARC Board and Club meeting are posted to club website and were accepted by membership. The following reports were given and accepted by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report, Tom – AI4QP, Vice President’s Report, Ed – NZ1Q, Net Manager’s Report – Johnnie – W4TSP, Club Trustee Report, Dave – KR4U, Repeater Report, Ron – KP2N, Membership Report , Tom – AI4QP, VE Report, Donn – N4KII.
New member was accepted by membership, Dave – KM4TOU. The 220 repeater is down and being worked on and there was one successful test taker who passed the Extra Class test reported by the VE Reporter. All reports were accepted by membership.
Old business.
Tower installation may be performed by a contractor if one is found to do the job. Johnnie – W4TSP will retire as Net Control Manager and pass those duties to Rick – KK4WTE who volunteered for the position. Laptops were donated to the club and will be used for Field Day and club operations.
New Business.
George – W1AAG, has donated a complete weather station to the club and if enough interest from the membership is shown, it will be installed at the club station by members interested in the project. Saturday June 4th, at 10:00am, there will be a practice setup and equipment check for preparation for this year’s Field Day at the club station. $500.00 was approved the membership for Field Day expenses. The ARRL Digital Communications Conference will be held September 16th – 18th this year at the St. Petersburg Hilton. Break was called at 7:53pm.
Meeting called to order at 8:10pm and the program for the evening was about Field Day 2016 given by Coy – KK4JMP, this year’s Field Day Chairman. Meeting closed at 8:39pm.
