Minutes of SPARC Meeting – October 6, 2018
Meeting called to order by Bob N2ESP at 7:30 PM followed by the Pledge of allegiance. Acknowledgment of guests and introduction were done. Secretary’s Minuets for September meeting are posted on the club website and accepted by the membership.
Treasures report was given by Tom AI4QP.
SPARC available funds as of September 30, 2018 is $6,714.55
Vice President Ed NZ1Q reported the SPARC Fest Date at November 10th and mentioned the new hosting location for SPARC’s email account. A full report about the move will be given by Tom NY4I during this meeting.
Bob N2ESP gave the Net Managers Report.

Dave KR4U gave the Club Trustee report. The SPARC station is being moved to another location within the DMI building. The new station location is larger then the present location.
Bob N2ESP extended a special thanks to the group of members doing the work.
Storage for items for the SPARC Fest is needed. KA4JDY offered his storage unit.
Tom NY4I spoke about the new hosting location for W4GAC. SPARC@group.IO
Ron KP2N, Repeater Trustee reported all is working as expected.
Tom AI4QP Membership report. No new members this month.
Don N4KII gave the August/September V.E. activity report:
8/21 ARRL test at DMI, 2 candidates, 1 upgrade. Thanks to Mike Braunda K4HN for doing the paperwork.
8/25 W5YI Test at Lealman Fire Station, 2 candidates, 1 new Tech.
9/18 ARRL Test at DMI, 1 upgrade to Extra, 3 new Techs.
9/22 W5YI Test at Lealman Fire Station, 5 new Techs, 2 Generals.
OLD BUSINESS
Bob N2ESP spoke about the need for a new monthly meeting location.
The nomination for new club officers was presented to the club membership. None received current officers will remain and be voted on at the next club meeting.
SPARC Fest date November 10th.
Monthly meeting supplies of ice will be provided by Felix.
A volunteer to pick up donuts is still needed.
NEW BUSINESS
ARES/CERT certification classes are being given. Speak to Clayton for details.
